Dawanggang is a musical and performance group created in 2009 by Song Yuzhe, an eclectic and self-taught musician from North-East China, leader of the former band Mutuigua (Wood Pushing Melon), and member of Two Big Men and Meizhigua. For a period stretching over almost ten years, Song Yuzhe spent time traveling in remote parts of China, learning from musicians of different ethnic origins, and coming from an array of social backgrounds.

XIAO HU on the horse-head fiddle from Inner-Mongolia;
ADIL on the ghijak, a vertical violin from Xinjiang and the Uighur people; YANG JI on dance, vocals and different sounds and percussions from Tibet; TATO on the tabla;
ZHANG JIAN on electronic organ and half zither;
WANG FANG accompanies them with sound effects.
В настоящее время у коллектива еще нет ни одного альбома, только пара студийных и пара концертных вещей.
